Lawrence Behr Associates provides consulting, test, project management and design services in communication system coverage, interference and compatibility matters, electromagnetic shielding, radio frequency safety, and collocation of diverse communications facilities.

We have broad expertise in regulatory and allocation matters, and radio system coverage and path prediction. We offer FCC frequency allocations, AM protection and detuning, EMI shielding, propagation studies, site acquisition, zoning, and RF compliance. Our capabilities include the design of radio communications systems, including new broadband technologies, WiMax, cellular, PCS, radio and television broadcasting.

We offer an engineering resource to the US Coast Guard DGPS and GMDSS programs, the Bureau of Mines, communications carriers such as ClearWire, Sprint, and Verizon, and to major national and international broadcasters. Our electromagnetic shielding and interference capabilities include the McDonnell-Douglas B-2 bomber test facility, the Oregon State University EE Department research labs, and many other sensitive facilities.

LBA Technology designs and manufactures sophisticated antenna tuning and coupling systems, and provides transmission system design-build integration, for the low, medium and high frequency radio frequency bands at power levels to 1,000,000 watts, worldwide.

We supply major components for the Voice of America and high power multiplexed medium wave antenna systems, towers and support for other international broadcasters. We make transportable transmitting stations for military and civilian use from man pack to C-130 flyable fielded by the US Army and British MOD.

Our products include multiplexers (diplexers and triplexers), antenna tuning units (ATU’s), combiners, phasors, folded unipole antennas, and detuning systems.

We manufacture architectural electromagnetic shielding components, including our proprietary workspace portable EMFaracage™. LBA Technology is also a distributor of Comet and Jennings vacuum capacitors, Schomandl RF test equipment, and Tomco test equipment and power amplifiers.
